Cellist Michiaki Ueno receives the Beethoven Ring 2024 after his performance at the Beethovenfest Bonn on 2.10.2024

Michiaki Ueno, who won 1st prize at the International Music Competition in Geneva in 2021, is the 20th recipient of the 2024 Beethoven Ring of the 'Citizens for Beethoven'. In a vote of the 1,700 members of the Beethoven Association after his performance at the Beethovenfest, he prevailed over other musicians who interpreted a work by Beethoven. “Michiaki Ueno fascinates the audience with his natural musicality and outstanding technique. He is one of the most impressive cellists of his generation and creates moving listening experiences for the audience,” said the Chairman of the Board.
